My Business Communications Class

Today, in class, my professor emphasized how important communication is for any group leader. The one concept that stood out in my mind, was the "Leadership Dimensions of Communications", which:
1. Builds Teams
2. Enables leaders to- share the vision, empower people to reach the vision, instill trust, solicit feedback (active listening), to learn daily, never being afraid to say "I don't know"

I think that this idea is essential for anybody in a leadership position. This is especially important to all of the leaders for The Journey. Our goal is to "Be the Difference" in our communities. The only way we can do that, is to set an example for all of our members. We need to share our vision with everyone in the group, and let them know that they can come to us for anything: prayer, guidance, and questions. As followers of Jesus, we are always learning new things. The most important thing, is for all Journey Leaders is to never be afraid to say "I don't know". We are not perfect, and it's okay to let others know that we don't know everything, and to lead members of the Journey to seek knowledge from the Bible, and to ask other individuals that are more knowledgeable than we are.
